Q: What is a Trinity? Conclusion, Part 3

Definitely there are "the TWO (2) times where God says "us" in Genesis 1. But from Genesis to Revelation, God always refers to Himself

in the singular! If God was a "Trinity", wouldn't He know? 10,000 times using a singular pronoun is no accident. God knows every

syllable He has spoken.

Genesis 1:26 (KJ2) "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and

over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."

While some Trinitarians will say this proves God is more than one, God is speaking to His angels (heavenly host), and not speaking about

the composition of His being or "Godhead". We just looked at a verse previously (Col. 2:9), where Apostle Paul specifically teaching the

Godhead is declaring "all the fullness of Godhead is in Jesus", while the deceptive trinity doctrine fabricates that "Jesus is the 2nd

person of the Godhead." In fact where God says "Let us make man in our own image", the Lord proceeded to make man - ONE

PERSON - with 3 aspects - spirit, soul, and body (not 3 persons).

A man can be a father, a son, and a spirit all at the same time - but that doesn't make him three different persons! Well, nevertheless, that

is the Trinity preacher's case for saying God is a plurality of persons and/or spirits. It's just plain wrong to say God is more than one

Spirit. The Word declares God is the Father of Spirits.

"Most Christians have NOT studied God's Word enough to be properly equipped to refute the few verses that are incorrectly being

used to wrap the whole trinity package. That is the main problem."

Because, in the very next verse we read "God created man in "His" (singular) own image" - male and female "He" (singular) created

them! So the image God created man in is not a Trinity, but was Male (first) & Female (after a period of time).

Gen 1:27 (KJV) "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

Now that does not mean that God is male & female, because first God created man from the dust of the earth, and at a later point in time,

God put Adam asleep, took a rib and made Eve. So it was one at a time. And the woman came from the man, but the man God formed

from the dust of the earth.

So God created male & female so that they could "re-create" mankind in "their own image." He blessed them and told them to be fruitful

and multiply.

Now, incidentally the original true image of man is Jesus Christ, who created man in His image. Jesus IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE

GOD. In God's foreknowledge, we were made in the image of He (Jesus) who was to come. Jesus is the image of the invisible God and

being One person so also are we one person. (not 3)

Back to God speaking and discussing "stuff" with His angels. There are numerous examples of this in the OT. Let us look at a couple.

Notice I said "Let us"? Does that make me two or three persons now because I said "us"? Same difference.

"God appears to Abraham:"

Genesis 1:1 (ESV) And the LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. 2He lifted up his eyes and

looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth

3 and said, “O Lord, if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant. 4Let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves

under the tree, 5while I bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on—since you have come to your servant.” So

they said, “Do as you have said.” 8Then he took curds and milk and the calf that he had prepared, and set it before them. And he stood by them under the

tree while they ate. 10The LORD said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife shall have a son.”

So here God visits Abraham and He appears as a man. Two angels are with Him - also manifest in the form of men. Abraham provides

water for their feet, and feeds them Beef, Cheese, and Milk - which they eat. After telling Abraham that his wife Sarah will indeed have a

son, God converses with the angels regarding their mission to destroy Sodom & Gomorrah - in fact God is discussing developments with

His angels. That is how the "We' is used in Genesis 1. If you read the first few chapters of Job, you will see that God regularly speaks with

His angels and why not? They are His original first "Sons". He is the Father of all creation!

16Then the men set out from there, and they looked down toward Sodom. And Abraham went with them to set them on their way. 17The LORD said,

“Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth

shall be blessed in him?

So the two angels continue on with their mission while Abraham hears the news about Sodom and pleads for the lives of the righteous

including his nephew Lot:

22So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD. 33And the LORD went his way, when He

had finished speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place. Genesis 19:1 "The two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was

sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed himself with his face to the earth ²and said, “My lords, please turn aside

to your servant’s house and spend the night and wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way.” They said, “No; we will spend the night in

the town square.” ³But he pressed them strongly; so they turned aside to him and entered his house. And he made them a feast and baked unleavened

bread, and they ate."

To recap, God the Spirit, and two angels who are also spirits, appear in the likeness of men, eat food, drink, etc. The two angels continue

on to Sodom and Gomorrah and destroy it after dragging out Lot and his family. So does this mean each of these are two (or 3) persons

now? NO! They only take the form of men to accomplish a task.(So that is the flawed logic that Trinitarians use for Gen.1)

Numbers 23:19 (NKJV) 19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He

spoken, and will He not make it good?"

1 Samuel 15:29 (Holman) "Furthermore, the Eternal One of Israel does not lie or change His mind, for He is not a man who changes his mind." (always

singular pronouns - God is not a "them")

So although God and angels can take the form of men and have done so, that doesn't mean they are multiple beings (spirits) or persons.

That was only a manifestation. In fact there are angels all around, but you can't see them unless God permits you to in the Spirit, or like in

the case of Abraham, they took human form and visited "in person" lol.

(If you are familiar with the gospel post-resurrection accounts, you will see that even Jesus appeared to His disciples numerous times

and they did not immediately recognize Him. He even walked and talked with them for hours discussing all manner of scriptures

concerning Himself and they still did not recognize Him until after He left. He also had no blood in His body but He ate and drank with

them - using His glorified body...just something to think about. Jesus said that after our resurrection we will be like the angels in heaven)

Ok, well what about the voice from heaven and the dove in Jesus baptism?

Well now we know that God and angels have appeared on the earth as men. We also know that those were just temporary manifestations

(appearances) - for God is Spirit. So in other words, even though God appeared to Abraham as a man, accompanied by 2 angels who

also appeared as 2 men - God was still God and the angels were still angels.

Burning bush, Fire by night, Cloud by Day, Still small voice, & Voice from Heaven:

God also spoke to Moses appearing as a "burning bush", & then He led Israel as a "Fire by night" and a "Cloud by day"...

Exodus 13:21(NAS) "The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them

light, that they might travel by day and by night."

...but God is neither of these things - God is Spirit! These were simply manifestations or appearances of God in various "forms" just like

He appeared as a man to Abraham.

Genesis 1:1,2 (ESV) "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face

of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters."

Here are some other scriptures with manifestations of the Spirit of the LORD:

Exodus 16:10 (NAS) "It came about as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold,

the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud."

Matthew 3:16 (NAS) "After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God

descending as a dove and lighting on Him,"

John 1:32 (NAS) "John testified saying, "I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him."

So there was a visible manifestation like a dove as God's Spirit came upon the Man, Jesus. Although, It was the perfect setting for God to

declare He was three, He did not do that here or anywhere else because He is ONE.

God caused His voice to be heard from the heavens, so that the people would know that it was God speaking. If the voice came from

Jesus, (from where Jesus said the Father/Spirit dwelt) - the people would have said He is speaking about Himself as if it were some sort

of trick, because among other things they also accused Jesus of being demon possessed (Beelzebub). Now the words spoken were

these:

"This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

and

"This day I have begotten thee".

God is Omnipresent:

"Where can I go from your Spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend into heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in hell,

behold, you are there; if I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and

your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not

be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." (Psalm 139:7-12)

"‘Am I a God near at hand,’ says the Lord, ‘and not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places, so I shall not see him?’ . . . ‘do I not

fill heaven and earth?’ says the Lord?" (Jeremiah 23:23,24)

God has many times manifested himself just as a "voice" from heaven. Is God's voice "another person"? NO! God has a voice just like

you and I do. However, God can cause His voice to be heard wherever and whenever He chooses - for He is God! By His voice God spoke

the world into existence. One day He will speak the word and the present heavens and earth shall melt with fervent heat. Isaiah both saw

the Lord and heard His voice! Isaiah saw One sitting on one throne! There are no revelations or visions of God in scripture where He is

seen or referred to as two or three persons or referred to as "Them", "Their" or with any plural language! God never changes! Only One

throne for One divine being!

Isaiah 6: (AKJV) 1 "In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and His train filled the temple. 5Then said I,

Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the middle of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, the

LORD of hosts. 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

John 12:41 (NIV) "Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about Him."

2 Peter 1:16 (NAS) "For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were

eyewitnesses of His majesty."

Matthew 17 (ESV) 1-7 "And after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain apart, And was

transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His clothing was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah

talking with Him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if You will, let us make here three tabernacles; one for You, and

one for Moses, and one for Elijah. While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is My

beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you Him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were much afraid. And Jesus came

and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid." And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, except Jesus only."

Jesus is fully God and fully Man! The fullness of the Spirit of God is well pleased to dwell in the Man Jesus, the only begotten Son of

God...the Word made flesh Who dwelt among us according to the Holy Scriptures. The key to understanding God's eternal power and

Godhead is to believe God's testimony and do not give heed to some tradition of men. For more on the deity of Christ please see this Q &

Again, as stated in the beginning of this article, the main purpose of Satan's Trinity doctrine was to prevent the name of Jesus from being

used against the devil's kingdom of darkness. Jesus had specifically appeared to Paul on the Damascus road for the purpose of

recruiting Paul to proclaim the name and gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the land.

Acts 9:3-6 (NIV) "As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to

him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get

up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Acts 9:5 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English) "He answered and said, "Who are you my lord?" And Our Lord said, "I AM THE LIVING GOD, Yeshua

the Nazarene, He whom you are persecuting."

Acts 26:18 (ESV) "to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive

forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

Acts 9:15 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English) "And THE LORD JEHOVAH* said to him, "Arise, go, because he (ed. The Apostle Paul) is a chosen

vessel to Me to take My name to the Gentiles and Kings and among the children of Israel." 16"For I shall show him how much he is going to

suffer for My name."

There is power in the name of Jesus and Satan knows it, the demons know it, in fact they know that there is one God & they tremble.

Jesus claims many of the same attributes and titles that God claims are exclusively His.

Jesus says that He is the First and the Last. Jesus says He is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, and Jesus says that

He is not only the Offspring (Son) of David - He says He is the Root (Father) too!

Revelation 20:11 (KJ2) "And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no

place for them."

Revelation 21:5-7 (NAS) "And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and

true.” Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the

water of life without cost. “He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son."

In Genesis chapter 1, God declares that He is God and also declares that He is Spirit as in describing Himself as "the Spirit of God".

Jesus also clearly taught us that God the Father is Spirit: He did not say "Spirits".

John 4:23-26 (ESV) "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking

such people to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is

coming (He who is called Christ). When He comes, He will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

Jesus as the Son of God, Son of Man did become a flesh and blood person to suffer death and make peace through the blood of His

cross - howbeit now He lives with a glorified body, and is fully indwelt by the Spirit of God - the Father.

2 Corinthians 5:16-21 (NKJV) "Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the

flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have

become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that

God was

in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation."

Now that is exactly what Jesus taught about His Father, the Spirit of God - dwelling in the human body of Jesus and being the source of

the mighty power, knowledge, speech and miracles!

John 14:10 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English) “Do you not believe that I am in my Father and my Father in me? The words which I am speaking, I am not

speaking from Myself, but My Father who dwells within Me, He does these works.”

John 6:63 (NKJV) " It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."

Colossians 2:6-19 (NKJV)

Not Philosophy but Christ

⁶As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

⁷rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

⁸Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic

principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

⁹For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

¹⁰and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Perhaps if there is a single self declaring verse that teaches the Godhead as it relates to Jesus Christ - it is this one:

1 Timothy 3:16 (AKJV) "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels,

preached to the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
